Juli Miller is a veteran of the nail industry, working for over twenty years licensed in both California and Ohio.  Juli’s career started as an employee in a salon.  Aspiring for more, she became an educator for IBD, better known for their product “Five Second Nail Glue.”  In her eight year stay with IBD, she traveled the western territory of the United States, educating other licensed professionals and soon-to-be nail techs attending local schools.

During this time, Juli also assisted in the lab helping to test and create new products such as gels, acrylics, cuticle oil and lotions.  In the later part of Juli’s career with IBD, she was promoted to the Western Regional Coordinator of education, which enabled her to expand the limits of education and set up for trade shows.  She was then named top salesperson and educator for this company two years in a row!  This led her to many new outlets in the industry.

After shooting several ad campaigns with IBD, including over-the-counter nail products found in Rite Aid, Walgreen’s, K-mart, and more, as well as product catalogs.  In 1993, Juli was asked to create the nails on the cover of Nails Magazine.  She went on to create covers in September and October of 1993, May and June of 1995, and January of 1998.  She also created covers for Nailpro Magazine in January of 1997 and 1998, as well as June of 2001.  Her Nails Magazine cover in 1993 was selected for the International cover for the following year’s publication.  This prompted her to hire an agent and accept a manicuring position at the Stylist to the Stars Giuseppe Franco Salons of Beverly Hills, which brought on a whole array of celebrity clients.  Juli has created nails for television commercials, including the most widely
recognized Clear Cosmetics commercial which aired in the mid to late 90s.

After becoming pregnant in 1997, Juli retired from education and worked only in the salon which she owned with a partner.  In January of 1999, Juli decided to relocate to her childhood state of Ohio to raise her son and be closer to her parents.  After taking a year break from the nail industry, she went back into a salon to build clientele.  In March of 2004, Juli and her mother, Nedra, opened “A Nail & Tanning Café Salon & Education Center,” slowly getting back into the educational world.  More recently, Juli has been involved with the Pro Football Hall of Fame, providing nail services for the inductees’ wives and family.  She has also done some print work such as the Park Honda brochures.

Juli’s goals for the next five years include creating a stronger salon; concentrating on getting more involved with education on a professional level and at the State Board of Cosmetology level; opening a nail distribution center; and creating her own line of pedicure products; and last but not least, spending as much time with her son as possible.
